Profile

Born in Hyougo on August 2nd 1958, Hayami Shou (later Hayami Show) started as a voice actor for various anime series including Dragonball Z (Zarbon), Macross (Maximillian Jenius), Trigun (Nicholas D Wolfwood), and video games such as Bushidou Blade 2 and Space Channel 5 (Jaguar). In addition to this he has also voice acted for various CD dramas and commercials.

He first appeared as a singer in the 1990s on miscellaneous anime CDs but released his first solo album, "Yuuga na jouken", in August of 1992. This was followed by his second album, "Liaison", in September 1994.

In 1997 Hayami released three singles, "Eien no okosoku" in July, "SHADOW MAKER" in August and "CACTUS" in September. He also played two lives on consecutive days in September in order to promote his next album, "Ordovices", which was released in October of that year. The album had 10 tracks, including the three title tracks from the singles. As well as the lives, he also held a CD event in Kyoto proceeding the release of "Ordovices". The next live was in Osaka in April 1999 and this also included a talk.

Between 2000 and 2002 Hayami released a trilogy of spoken word albums, "Kotoba no kuukan" I, II and II, which featured Kenji Miyazawa/der heilige Punkt. In November 2000 he released his "Garnitures" album and later that month held two promotional events for it, one at Yamagiwa Soft and the other at Animate Ikebukuro.

Next came the "Kotoba no Kuukan II" mini talk show at Animate Shibuya in April 2001 and the album "Chaine ~ rensa" in October of that month. After that, 2002 was a busy year, with a CD and Photo Collection signing session at Animate Kyoto in March and two more CD and photo collection event at Animate Machida and Animate Shibuya in April. At the beginning of September the album "LOVE BALANCE" and this was followed up by lives and handshake events at Animate Ikebukuro, Gamers, KFC Hall, Yamagiwa Soft and Animate Sannomiya.

"Idee `ima boku ga souu koto" was the next album to be release accompanied by two lives in October 2003. The next month, Hayami also played two more lives at@Yamagiwa Soft and Yamagiwa Nadja Park.

In 2005 he released the album "subeteha bokukara hajimatta", which was a mixture of songs and spoken word and this was followed by a live. Although he didnft release any CDs in 2006, he performed at the Black Cat DVD talk and mini live in January, Sony Music Anime Fes 06 (Bleach Stage) in May and held a dinner show, "Kotoba no Kuukan" in September.

Thoughts

Hayami Shou’s music is really boring for me to listen to. He has a deep voice, but it lacks energy! As a result, his songs just drag on and on.
