Profile

This four-manned indie group was formed in 1999 when they were all students attending the same high school. After they moved to Tokyo, they have played at many other locations, focusing on lives especially in the Shibuya and Shimokita areas.

They were one of the groups that have experienced immediate sucess starting with their indie cd "Light and Shadow" in the March of 2003. When it "suddenly" achieve’s the top spot in sales, they began to become more recognized and have continued to ride on this wave, even going on a nationwide tour a year later (named TOUR COOL&DISCO).

Their first full album (2000fs DISCO) was released in 2006 and they continue to make more music today with plenty of singles in between and performances at big stages like Rock in Japan Fes. And this is only the beginning of their career.

Thoughts

I just recently started listening to Hare-Brained Unity and have become a big fan. Their upbeat rock songs are fun to listen to and each has its unique beat. Yoshitaka’s high range completes the songs and gives them a contagious feeling. I highly recommend this band!
