Soon, after releasing "HALF WORKS", HALFBY made a few famous remixes of famous Japanese artists such as m-flo, DOPING PANDA, and HALCALI. This attracted a bit of attention as the DJ was approached by famous Japanese director Katsuyuki Motohiro who offered him the opportunity to collaborate with Tatsuki Hashimoto on the soundtrack for the movie "Summertime Machine Blues". From this fame came the opportunity to play at huge rock festivals such as COUNTDOWN JAPAN 05 and SUMMER SONIC 05. It also led to the success of HALFBYs first major album full-length album "GREEN HOURS", which was released in late-2005. The album was another chart-topper in the indie scene and received a lot of attention from music artists like Fantastic Plastic Machine and Yasuharu Konishi (formerly of Pizzicato Five).
Afterwards, HALFBY continued on his climb up the music scene. In the subsequent years, his label was picked up as a subsidiary of major label Toys Factory. He then went on to release a string of successful singles. Ultimately, this led up to the release of HALFBYs first major album "SIDE FARMERS" in 2007.
