Profile
Vocalist Full started Guniw Tools in 1989 as a fusion of art and music. However, Jake became a member of the band in 1992 followed by Asaki some time later. The band combined elements of rock, folk, jazz and electronic music to create strange music for Full’s equally strange lyrics. The band also took inspiration from Nepal and Full often visted there.After signing to Victor Entertainment, the band released their first album, "NIWLUN", in April 1996. The band went on to produce a further six albums, including the live album "Live Sparky" in March 1998 and the best of album "GUNIW 2000Ls BEST" in November 2000, 6 singles, 10 VHSs and 2 DVDs. Jake left Guniw Tools after their 4th album and they eventually disbanded in 2000.
Since the band’s end, Full and support member Dinah went on to be in Nookicky, with Full also embarking on his solo project, Shilfee and Tulipcorobockles and Asaki went on to be in Age of PUNK with support drummer Katsuhige Okazaki and he is also currently in the band BUG.

Thoughts
Guniw Tools has a diverse arrangement of rock, electronic, pop, and jazz inspired pieces. Each song is quite unique and experimental. Full’s vocals give the songs a haunting and mysterious element that will leave you wanting to listen to more songs.Click to read/add your opinion!
