Glay is a four member rock band that has been incredibly successful in Japan over the years! The group first started with Takuro and his friend Teru around 1988. The two later convinced Hisashi (from the band Ari) and Jiro (from Pierrot) to join as well! At first, the band started out with little success. To their great surprise though, Yoshiki from X Japan saw them in concert and hooked them up with a contract under his label, Extasy Records. Since then, Glay has been extremely successful. They are constantly selling out concerts and have been ranked high on the Oricon Charts several times.Thoughts
Alrighty, an AKG fan recommended Glay so I figured I would give him a try...and I was definitely impressed! Glay’s music is awesome! They play great rock beats that aren’t too over the top or sound weird. Teru sings with a lot of energy and great rythym. Jiro is a amazing bassist. I love how you can hear the bass in every song because it maintains a great beat in conjuction with the drums. As for the guitarists, I don't think I’ve found one yet that I don’t like ;) Seriously though, Glay is a great band that has an awesome reputation. For the music sample, I’ve choosen "Groovy Tour" because it has a fun, upbeat rythym and addicting chorus :Dakfgfan
