Profile

At the end of 2003, symphonic melo-death/black metal band FollowBane was formed by Nosuke and Kob@. Stating that they take influences from all kinds of music, from the Baroque period to present day, they say they strive to create an individual outlook on the world and equally as individual music. Achieving this individuality is probably made easier by the fact that Nosuke and Kob@ take care of everything from composition, recording and mastering to public relations, sales and their website themselves.

In March 2004 the band released their demo mini-album, "Steel Tempest", which was sold via their website and it was written about on various independent metal review sites. Following that, In May 2005, the bands first full album, "At the Blizzard End" was released country-wide in Japan through the independent label SOUNDHOLIC.

Most recently, in June 2006, FollowBane released their second full album, which was titled "Dead Fantasia" and this time it was distributed by the "HIDDEN MANIACS JAPAN" project of SOUNDHOLIC.

Thoughts

Follow Bane is a hard core metal band with harsh vocals. I’m not much of a fan of the vocals, but the music is very good. It has influences of classical music fused with modern metal. It is a very cool mixture of sounds to listen to.
