Every Little Thing is a two member pop group. The vocalist, Kaori, first started her career by debuting with the single Mou Ichido. Her single was not very successful, but one man was impressed by her talents. Igarashi Mitsuru got Kaori and Ichiro together, and the three formed the band Every Little Thing. The band debuted in 1996 with the single Feel My Heart. In 1997 they released their first album and were a immediate success. In fact, the album sold several million copies. Every Little Thing became immensely popular, and their second album exceeded the sale of the first! Many of their singles were even hitting #1 on the Oricon Charts. Despite their success, Igarashi Mitsuru left the band in 2000. This was a major hit to the band as he had wrote almost every lyric up to the third album. Kaori and Ichiro have continued to produce music since then. Kaori now writes the lyrics, while Ichiro continues to show off his sweet guitar moves.

Thoughts

Every Little Thing was one of the first JPOP bands that I listened to. Their music is upbeat and fun to listen to. Kaori’s voice is very interesting because it is not very high pitched like Ayumi or Boa. On top of that, they have some really good songs like All Along and Time Goes By. Ichiro, the guitarist, seems to always come up with these awesome guitar solos in their songs. Overall, ELT has produced some great stuff. I think I prefer their older songs over their new ones. Some of the new ones just do not portray emotion as well as some of their classics like Time Goes By. Nevertheless, ELT is still a great jpop band to check out.
