EVE is a Korean rock band consisted of Seheon as leader and on vocals, Park Woong on guitars, G. Gorilla as producer and on vocals, and Kim Gun on bass. The band released their debut album in 1998 and was considered as one of the promising rock band in Korea.

Before EVE was formed, Seheon was a leader for an indie band, Extasy, in 1989 which then, the band changed their name into G.I.R.L (Get Into the Rock and roll Legend) when he became the lead vocalist in 1996. Their song, Aspirin, got into the Korean Rock/Pop charts that year and their album was a #1 sale among other rock albums. The band was in the Top 10 K-Rock/K-Pop SBS awards the same year.

EVE was formed as G.I.R.L split after their second album was released and Seheon wanted to make a new band on the eve of Christmas in 1997. Park Woong was formerly playing for Athanasia while Kim Gun was with Rock World, before both were recruited to join EVE. Their first album, Whenever You Feel, was released in April 1998.

But in the year 2002, G. Gorilla left EVE to form G. Gorilla Band and both Park Woong and Kim Gun formed Virus. Seheon recruited new members, Ha Sebin and Jung Yuhwa on guitars, Kim Seungioo on bass and Choi Minchang on keyboards and released EVE’s sixth album, Welcome to PLANET EVE, where in 2003, he found his company, PLANET EVE Entertainment. Jung Yuhwa and Choi Minchang are now ex-members of EVE.

Thoughts

I was impressed with Eve :) They have some awesome rock and pop songs. In many ways they are reminiscent of Linkin Park in songs like "Love Patient". They also have some calmer songs like "Adrenaline Drive" that are good too!
