ELLEGARDEN is a four member rock band that formed in 1998. For a while, ELLEGARDEN focused on spreading their name through concerts at festivals and clubs. In April 2001, ELLEGARDEN toured Hiroshima, Osaka, Nagoya, and Kobe. Later that year, ELLEGARDEN sold its first self titled album, "ELLEGARDEN" , nationwide and one of their songs was featured as the ending song of a Hokkaido music program. By 2002, ELLEGARDEN’s concerts were selling out like crazy.

ELLEGARDEN’s music is continuing to become wildly popular. They have been compared numerous times to bands such as Sum 41, Blink 182, and Good Charlotte. ELLEGARDEN has even opened and worked with Sum 41, Allister, and the Foo Fighters!

In March 2007, the band performed for 30,000 loyal fans in Makuhari Messe. Later that same year, the band released their album "Eleven Fire Crackers" and toured in the United States through Nettwerk Music Group.

Thoughts

When I first listened to ELLEGARDEN, I was like whoa, I thought they were Japanese! because they were singing in English haha. Yes, English! Very very good English on top of that! They sound a lot like Simon, Blink182, The Ataries, etc... ELLEGARDEN has a punk rock feel to them. Not all of their songs are in English, but man they are good when they sing it. I choose "How we used to be" because it rocks and it is a good head banger song! I think you will enjoy it ;)
