Eizo Sakamoto
Vocals/Guitar: Eizo Sakamoto
Started: 1992
Status: Active
Profile
Eizo Sakamoto was born February 1964 and introduced to the world of rock music when he was a toddler. He has been into music since.
Naturally, Sakamoto had to start small, playing at clubs. At that time, he was partnered with Yasumitsu Shimizu and they formed Oyafukou Gakudan and Resonance (two different groups). It wasnt until he won the audition for the band Anthem that he began to become known to the world. Fortunately, that was also the time metal was experiencing much success in Japan, which helped Sakamoto. He and Anthem also toured America.
Then came the time when he had to leave the band for personal reasons, doing many different jobs to stay afloat.
It was years after in 1996 when he heard of Animetal and joined the band for some time. Animetal became very successful. Since then, he has become a very successful solo artist and a member of Anthem again. He actively does an online radio show too.

Thoughts
Eizo Sakamoto is awesome! His vocals are very powerful and commanding, adding a lot of energy to metal songs. Metal really is his niche and I hope he will continue to sing for many more years to come. Definitely check out his solo works and works from the bands Anthem and Animetal!
