Doremidan was created on January 1st 2002 by Makoto. The original lineup of Haruhi (Guitar), Ko-zi (bass), Reika (Drums) and Makoto (Vocals) had all been in previous bands, and were experienced musicians.Doremidan held their first live shortly after at the Nishikujou Brand New, but after the concert, Haruhi and Ko-zi left the band. With just Reika and Makoto, Doremidan went on a hiatus and started to recruit new members.
It didn’t take them long to find new members. On January 1st, 2003, Doremidan was back with Ken and Ryu on guitar, and Maya as a songwriter along with Ken and Makoto. Even though they had their new lineup, they didn’t announce it until February 27th, when they performed at the Nishikujou Brand New once more. After the live, Doremidan went on tour with other bands including Hanamuke and Gullet.
After the tour, Doremidan signed with a major record label. The band didn’t go major though, and they continued to release albums on their indies label, but they were distributed by a major one.
In 2004, Doremidan went on tour more and more and began to develop their own image and style, which includes blues and jazz influences introduced into visual kei!
On January 1st, 2005, Doremidan announced they were releasing their first full length album, Gekijou shouroku. With the album, Doremidan took on a more rock and roll aspect, while still sticking to their jazzy influences. They also started a nationwide tour in March and April of ‘05. Also, Doremidan’s name (and some of their inspiration) comes from The Beatles and their song "Don’t Let Me Down" which sounds like "Do Reh Me Dan" when the Japanese pronounce it.

Thoughts
Doremidan is a fairly good visual kei band. The vocals are pretty average. I enjoy listening to their music though. The music has a lot of jazz and blues influences interwoven with rock beats. They’re not great, but not bad either.Click to read/add your opinion!
