Day After Tomorrow was a Jpop band that formed in April 2001. Their lineup included Misono Kumi as the vocalist, she is also known as Koda Kumi younger sister. Masato Kitano was the guitarist and composer, and Daisuke Suzuki keyboardist and composer. The band’s music was produced by Mitsuru Igarashi, former member of Every little thing, and release under the Label Avex Trax.The band played a hand full of lives in Japan and Korea. Their first mini album, title day after tomorrow, was a big hit. For this, the band received the Japan Gold Disc New Artist of the Year Award. The band also made the theme song for the japanese version of the movie The Day After Tomorrow. The title was more than a million miles, first featured in their maxi single, lost angel.
In September of 2006, the band announced that after the release of the Selection Best Album, they would go on a hiatus due to personal reasons. Currently the only member that is still performing is Misono, carrying on with her solo career. Both Masato and Daisuke write music for other artist.

Thoughts
Day After Tomorrow reminds me a lot of a modern Every Little Thing. They play beautiful, pop arrangements and Misono’s vocals compliment them nicely. I highly suggest listening to this band if you enjoy Every Little Thing or Zard.Click to read/add your opinion!
