Cubismo Grafico 5 formed in 2004 and released their first album "CINQ" through Niw Records in October. They then followed this up with their 2nd album "SEEDY" in December of that year. In order to promote this album, the band toured with Your Song is Good and in 2005 they participated in the nationwide Niw Records SHOWCASE tour. They released their 3rd album "Pop Pollution" in August 2006 and have also made 2 PVs, "Percy Percy Me" and "Sound Girls Winie". The band continues to play live in venues such as Shinjuku Loft, Shinjuku MARZ and Daikanyama UNIT.1-5
Thoughts
Cubismo Grafico 5 presents a really interesting mix of electronic sound effects and unusual vocals. The vocals themself aren’t anything special, but rather are there to emphasize key instrumental parts of the music. There are occasional lyrics, but the vocals are largely regarded and used like an instrument. They are definitely worth a listen.Click to read/add your opinion!
