Cornelius is a pseudonymn for the recording artist and producer Keigo Oyamada. Keigo Oyamada was once part of a pop group that helped form the Shibuya-kei scene, Flipper’s Guitar. He started on his solo career after Flipper’s Guitar dis-banded.

Cornelius signed to a small record label to put out his music. He also did an intersting act, dressing up as a women and preforming a song in the street out of his respect for Japanese fashion. He also collaborated with many well known Japanese and International artists throughout his career. He signed a record deal with the U.S. label Matador Records and released his albums "Point" and "Fantasma" in the United States.

His music is experimental and combines some pleasent sounds and more odd and obscure ones. His music is very uniquely composed.
