Condor44 formed in the summer of 1998 at their college in Tokyo. Hiroshi met Ajima and then they recruited Chikako on Bass (Who had no prior experience). Condor44 released their first EP,Hush & Vane, in Febuary of 2001 and their first album, 00203, in May of the same year. They released another album, db, in 2002. They have also drawn many comparisons to Sonic Youth and Yo La Tengo. Condor44 has played a couple of concerts in the US and are now preparing to release their next album soon.

Thoughts
Condor44 is an amazing band. They do have a Sonic Youth style with the back and forth vocals between Hiroshi and Chikako, much like Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon, but the music has a more Yo La Tengo taste to it. These guys are very good, definitely take a look at them.
