Profile

With a name like this, what kind of music do they do? Classic, Jazz, and Groove, of course. This three member group -of two males and a female- make music that is mostly a mix of many different genres after forming in 2001.

In the beginning, they were relatively unknown other than their "underground performances" and songs released via the internet. It wasn’t until they made a theme for the hit Korean drama "My Lovely Sam Soon" in 2005 despite the fact that they were Canadian residents.

Soon after their signing with Avex Records in Japan, their popularity began to climb rapidly, even working with many famous artists like m-flo and Sowelu. They have also signed with FLUXUS in Korea.

My Thoughts

Clazziquai is an interesting band. They cover a wide variety of genres like groove, classic, and jazz. No matter what genre it is though, the songs to be soft and move to a slow tempo. The vocals are quite good too.
