One of the more known Japanese singers, Chihiro Onitsuka has been compared to the likes of Mika Nakashima.

As a child, she grew up listening to ballads and folk music which led to her being inspired enough to compose her own music. Eventually, during high school, she decided to go for a musical career in 1999 and moved to Tokyo.

In 2000, supposedly after writing 60 more songs, Chihiro Onitsuka finally burst onto the music scene when she was signed under the Toshiba EMI label. But because in 2004, T-EMI released a single of her music without her consent, she left and joined Universal Music.... only to release one single before going hiatus citing health conditions.

After a three year hiatus, Chihiro Onitsuka finally returned to the music scene. She released her first single, "Every Home", since her hiatus on May 30th, 2007.

My Thoughts

Chihiro Onitsuka is one of my favorite pop singers! She has an incredible mature, deep voice that will send chills down your spine. She has also made several very power songs like "Infection" that are amazing. Please check out this very talented singer!
