Profile

Started by a group of high-school friends, BURGER NUDS quickly became a notable three-piece band in the Japanese rock scene. Signing onto TELESCOPE-LABEL which hosted other famous Japanese rock bands like ART-SCHOOL only 2 years after forming, the band quickly became a formidable force, touring with the likes of BUMP OF CHICKEN. Musically, the band creates a unique melodic sound that combines well with the emotional and introspective lyrics of Kadota. Unfortunately, in mid-2004, the band decided to break up and played their last live together at Shinjuku Loft. Subsequently, after the disbandment of BURGER NUDS, the guitarist/vocalist Kadota and the drummer Uchida both moved on to play in the band Good Dog Happy Men.

Thoughts

BURGER NUDS is like any other average rock band out there. They have a few catchy tunes, but nothing very impressive. Kadota’s vocals are very nasally and distracting, making it difficult to really appreciate their songs.
