Profile

Bonnie Pink was born on April 16 1973 in Kyoto, Japan, and real name Kaori Asada. The reason Kaori decided to choose Bonnie Pink is still up to debate, but some think that it was derived from a character that played a prostitute in a Martin Amis book, while some others may think its the "Bonnie" from "Bonnie and Clyde" and at the time, her hair was pink, thus Bonnie Pink.

When Bonnie Pink debuted (1995) with "Orange" -a single-, she released it under her real name, Asada Kaori. The very same year, Blue Jam, her first album was released. Her description: "mixture of bitter honey, blues music, momentary silence, irresistible madness, teardrops, sourgrapes, hopeful bombs, big big love, and a few green apples". Her style of music is said to be a mixture of Jazz, Blues, Pop, and Rock.

Bonnie Pink’s most recent release is "Golden Tears" which has the hit single, "So Wonderful".
