Bean Bag is a pop band that just recently started their career! Bean Bag first debuted in 2000 with their mini-album Isotope. Afterwards, the band went on tour to 7 different locations including Osaka, Kyoto, and Yokohama. In 2001, the band continued to play in Osaka and also released a single titled Plasma 18. To increase their popularity, Bean Bag moved to Tokyo in 2002. After three more singles, Bean Bag finally got some recognition from Space Shower TV Station and Osaka FM. It wasn’t until 2004 though that Bean Bag scored a deal with Sony. They debuted as a major pop group with the album Bean and Desire.

My Thoughts

Bean Bag is a rather cool pop group. Their songs are fun to listen to. The songs tend to have aggressive beats that keep you immersed in their songs. As for the vocalist, Yumi has a high pitched voice, which oddly works with their music. I also love that this group is creative with their music...some of it is upbeat, others have a reggae feel almost, and others are more like pop songs. Its a great variety that works well for them.
