Profile

BBB band first formed in 1993 with a trumpet, trombone, baritone saxophone, tenor saxophone, sousa horn, snare drum, and bass drum player. They released their first independent album "Black Bottom Brass Band" in 1995. After listening to their work, Pony/Canyon Record company offered the band a contract. As a result, the band made its major debut and participated in a nationwide tour with Shinji Takeda.

Over the years, the band moved its base to Tokyo and continued to perform with other artists like Rip Slyme and Asai Nakamori. In 2005, they also released a charity album to help victims of the Katrina Hurrican in New Orleans.

In 2006 they released their latest album, "Life is Parade".

Thoughts

BBB is a great jazz band. There music is cleaver and has a nice swing. I also enjoy how they incorporate vocals into some of their songs. I highly suggest them!
