Originally formed in 1999 by the vocalist and the drummer, BAZRA is a band that attempts to blend an interesting mixture of punk rock and funk music in their sound. The bassist Miura joined a year after the band was originally formed and, soon afterwards, the band released their first maxi-single. A few years later, in 2002, BAZRA released their first mini-album and recieved more attention as they were able to tour with more popular bands. They produced their first full-length album not long after that. They got their first chance at a large gig at the RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL in 2003 and have been trodding along steadily ever since.

Thoughts

BAZRA’s music is a strange mixture of rock and funk. In addition, Teppei’s vocals are a bit harsh and often sound more like yelling, rather than singing. Combined together, it creates very loud, head banger music. If you are into hard rock, then you may enjoy this band.
