Profile

Babamania is a Japanese rock band formed by vocalist Genki and guitarist Yujin in 1992. In 1997 Mari was added to the band as a secondary vocalist, but it was not until April of 2000 that the band had their first release, their mini album "ep". In the same year, a contract with Imperi al Records was acquired, and in July their first maxi single was released, "Pau Hana".

2001 saw the band’s first live performance during the Fuji Rock Festival, and in 2004 a track from their single "Doobee Doowap Communication" was featured as the closing theme for Rockman EXE Stream. They continue to hold fame with their 10th and latest album, "Zero Gravity Disco".

Thoughts

Babamania is a good band for fans of rock and hip-hop. The combination of the female and male vocalist will remind some fans of similar bands like MOVE. Their music has a lot of versatility, incorporating various genres and rhythms.
