Profile

Katsu Ohta’s first solo album, "Right Brain Revlotion" was released in January of 2000 under the lavel Madrakeroot. The next year, he decided to form a band, and Ark Storm was formed. Katsu, the next year, was featured on "Young Guitar" magazine’s DVD and ex-Concerto Moon drummer, Ichiro Nagai, became an official Ark Storm member in 2002. Later that year, Yasuo Sasai, the ex-vocalist for Shyblue, joined.

In May of 2003, their bassist, Michro Yamada left the band for "musical differences" and Isamu Takita replaced him. A month later, the recorded their second album. They played at the 3rd Hard Rock Summit which had around 15,000 fans. In 2004 "Everlasting Wheel" was released and this year they’ve started touring Japan, again.

My Thoughts

I would like to say that this band has a generic vocalist, but amazing guitar work, as most neo-classically influenced bands are. Katsu, the guitarist, also won an award for being so good, so this tells you something! Anyway, amazing band nonetheless.
