Profile

Soft rock group ANATAKIKOU was formed in Kansai by Masaki Houjou, Masaki Matsuura and Toshimitsu. They released three singles and two albums as an indies band, between 2002 and 2005 before going major in 2006 with their album "Message Pie". The band have also been featured on a few compilation albums, including "The Many Moods of Smiley Smile" in July 2003 and "Tadaima" in December 2005. The band released their fifth single "Ame ga Yandara" in September 2007, followed by their fourth album, "Yellow Matador" in November and have done promotional interviews on HMV’s internet radio station as well as appearing on Space Shower TV in November.

Thoughts

ANATAKIKOU plays soft rock with melodic vocals. This is a good band to listen to if you like slow melodies, ballads, and pop songs. Their lyrics can sometimes be corny, as exemplified in "Lemon no Namida".
