Profile

AnalogFish is made up of three members: Kentarou Sasaki does Vocal and Bass, Akira Shimooka does Guitar and Vocals and Shuichirou Saito does Drums and Vocals. All of them were born between 1978 and 1979. Kentarou and Akira knew each other during school and they frequently sang and made music together. They made their demotape in 1999. Later moving to Tokyo, where they started their activities with a support drummer. It wasn’t until April 2002 did Shuichirou join the band. That very same year, they recorded their first demo-tape with 9 tracks, which was sold at their lives.

In June 2003, AnalogFish’s first album "Sekai wa maboroshi" went on sale. To promote it, they went on tours. Soon after, came the second album on December 3rd 2003, "Nichiyoubi no Yoru mitai da".

When the band made it to 2004, they had a busy year. In January they released a new self-titled album, toured in Japan and in June the rereleased their first two Albums. During July to August as part of a promotional tour, they took part in FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL. In September AnalogFish released their first major album "Hello Hello Hello". From September to December their first national tour took place.

Soon after, they released a mini album titled "BGM". Surprisingly, they took another promotion tour. Also they appeared at bigger rock events in Japan like the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL or ROCK IN JAPAN FES.

My Thoughts

I was pleasantly surprised while listening to Analog Fish! They have a awesome Indies rock sound that really defines them. Their music is unique, has good rhythm, and the vocals fit perfectly! I really can’t say too much more, except that they rock! Check them out :D
