Profile
Formed in 1998, Aliene Ma’riage were visual/rock/punk/metal band. Their original concept was that Ray and Mast were the king and queen of an old kingdom who had a child, but because they were brother and sister, Kyouka was born insane. This theme carried through into their songs and stage performances as well.They released their first album, "Les Soirée yoru no butoukai / senrei no shou ~ shoutan hen", in May 1999 through Enamel Records and after releasing 2 more albums, they changed to the Key Party label to release their last album, " 21st Century". This album had a more industrial feel to it than the previous 3 and the band toned down their look a little as well.
After Aliene Ma’riage disbanded in 2001, Kyouka formed the band Cupid with his brother Shun, but after they too disbanded, he went on to be in his current bands, Chaos System and Deflina Ma’rriage (along with ex-members of Deflower and Missalina Rei), Ray joined another Key Party band, Noir Fleurir, before going on to be in MIL, and Mast went on to be in vinett and then joined the band Nega and also became the support guitarist for MIL.

Thoughts
Aliene Ma’riage are one of my favourites; I think they were a great and very charismatic band. Most of their songs are very up tempo, loud and energetic rock/metal but they do have some that are slower and quieter in places. What really made them different from the other Key Party bands, in my opinion, was Kyouka’s vocals. He shouts, does high-pitched screaming, speaks, sings and almost chants all with lots of feeling in his voice, and although he does sing off-key, that’s part of the charm of his voice and it actually sounds really good. From live clips, their stage performance was also highly energetic and interesting. The only complaint I have about Aliene Ma’riage is that they disbanded!
