Profile

Ain Soph is an all intstrumental band that plays a variety of music but they are categorized as jazz-rock-fusion. Formed in the late 1970s, they were inspried by other bands who liked to play a similar style of music from the 60’s to around their time. It seems they were not always named Ain Soph, though, for they officially changed it in 1980.

Ain Soph was not always the same core group of people either for players would leave, be replaced, and some rejoined. Their latest album was released in 1993 where it had a more jazzy sound than their previous.

Thoughts

I wasn’t too impressed with Ain Soph. Their music has a very nostalgic 70’s sound that I don’t particularly care for. I will give props to Kikuo though, who is an excellent pianist.
