Very little is known about Aiko Kayo’s background. She was born December 11, 1985 in the Kanagawa Prefecture. She started off by auditioning for Morning Musume in 2001. She made it to the final 9 girls, but ultimately was not choosen. Shortly afterwards she began to work for Avex records and is now a huge Idol in Japan. She has done several compilation albums with other singers and sang the theme songs for several animes. Photobooks and calendars have also been created for her.

My Thoughts

Aiko Kayo is a very talented singer. She has a beautiful voice and has worked with many other artists as a result. My only complaint is that she hasn’t released any albums of just herself. All of her albums are compilations with other singers. She does have 8 wonderful singles though!
