Nanase Aikawa is a Japanese rock singer that has been going strong since 1995. At the age of 15, Nanase quit high school to train for her musical career. Her first single, Yumemiru Shoujo ja Iranai, was released in 1995. Three more singles followed before her album, RED, which won a award! Since then, Nanase has continued to produce hit after hit. She married on her 26th birthday and now has a son. Nanase is also friends with other artists such as T.M. Revolution, Yumi from PUFFY, Takura from Glay, and Inoran from Luna Sea.

My Thoughts

I love Nanase Aikawa! She was the first Japanese rock singer that I really got into. Most of her songs are rock, but there are exceptions like Seven Seas that sound more like pop. Of all her songs, my fav. is her first single Yumemiru Shoujo ja Iranai. Nanase's songs are fun and have a great beat. I have also heard that she is quite funny on Japanese talk shows. I def. recommend Nanase Aikawa. She is awesome!
