Tokyo-based hardcore metal/death metal band Agent Murder consists of four members: Awi, Dee Lee (also in 2 Bullet), U and Zuiju. They have played lives in various places in Japan, including Shinjuku Urga, with Neurotic Doll, 2nd effect, Destruct System and Aural Vampire, amongst others, and have also performed at the Kobe Underground Festival alongside artists such as JUBILEE, Jet Pepper Tower, AUTO-MOD and Rose de Reficul et Guiggles. The band have released 2 albums to date, "life" and "Earth of Hypocrisy"

Thoughts

Agent Murder are a pretty average metal band, but I really like some of their songs. Awi’s vocals aren’t always that great, and he tends to sound better when his voice is low or whispering rather than screaming. However, sometimes his more aggressive vocals sound good and fit with the music, like on the song "Lucy no Aoi Kago / Lucy’s Blue Birdcage". I also like the remixes of their songs, which are more EBM/Industrial than metal, and it’s interesting to hear the same song in two totally different ways. I also think Awi’s voice goes better with the remixes. They’re quite enjoyable to watch live as well, putting a lot into their performance, and I think Agent Murder are worth checking out.
