Profile

Kazuyoshi Nakamuri formed the 100s after putting together a live band for his solo project, in 2000. Although they initially were known just as Kazuyoshi Nakamura with support musicians, the band quickly had success, performing at the ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL in 2001 and they also began recording in this year and after releases with Nakamura’s solo project, as well as more live performances, they eventually began to call themselves the 100s in 2003. They released their first single "A / Yasashii Lion" in 2004 and this was followed by their debut album, "OZ" in 2005. The 100s released their second album, "ALL!!!!!" in 2007 and performed at the ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL and later released their third DVD, "Hyaku Ki Ki!!!!!! -100s LIVE TOUR 2007-" at the end of the year.

Thoughts

The 100s are a great classic rock band. They play nice solid melodies and their vocalist has an unusually high voice for a male. I definitely recommend this band to rock fans!
